THUNDERING 496ci STROKER V8 WITH PERFORMANCE UPGRADES GALORE

Anchoring this unruly beast is an absolute monster of a creation from the gearheads at Don’s Garage in Kenosha, WI. The stout 496ci V8 was built by stroking the car’s existing 454 block. With a slew of performance upgrades like aluminum heads, 10.5:1 compression to still run on 93 octane, MSD ignition, Hedman Elite headers, and much much more, this Chevelle pumps out an estimated 550hp! Other impressive components include:

• New 2.5” exhaust with Flowmaster 50 series delta flow mufflers and Hedman Elite Extreme-Duty headers
• Black Summit Racing “Chevrolet” script valve covers to compliment the sinister dark theme of the car
• MSD ignition
• Vibrant Performance braided flexible race hoses
• New Aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans
• Mini starter / high torque
• Aluminum heads with 10.5:1 compression
• Runs on 93 Octane Gasoline

UPGRADED DRIVELINE AND DEPENDABILITY

Transferring all that V8 power is a dependably fun MDL Modified Tremec TKX 5-speed manual trans, featuring a beefy Kevlar/Ceramic clutch, lightweight flywheel, and advanced tri-cone synchronizers with 8,000 RPM shift capability for smooth and fast shifting. Out in the back is a 12-bolt rear-end housing with 3:73 gears, a new gear set, new heavy-duty 3.5″ driveshaft including new weld yokes and u-joints. To ensure the chassis can handle all the power, this Chevelle received:

• New UMI Performance complete front-end kit – UMI Performance Front upper and lower tubular control arm kit
• 4-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood Forged Dynalite Big Brake front brake kit
• Hurst chrome shifter with white 5-speed shift ball

METICULOUSLY RESTORED BEAUTY

The attention to detail on this Chevelle’s restoration is remarkable. The body was laboriously straightened as you can see in our photos before being refinished in rich black paint that looks deep and wet from every angle. All chrome and trim were refinished or replaced for a brilliant shine.
