Vehicle Description

THE CAR

This is a 1971 Dodge Charger R/T – a genuine, VIN-verified R/T car with the original fender tag still present – that has been through a documented body-off restoration by Nardi’s Rod and Custom, with itemized invoices to back up the work. The car was stripped to bare metal and rebuilt from the ground up. The VIN identifies it as a U-code car, which for 1971 is the 440 Magnum four-barrel – the standard R/T engine. What’s under the hood now is a 472 cubic inch Hemi crate block making 610 horsepower. So this is a real R/T that’s been built up with serious modern Hemi power, not a base Charger wearing R/T badges and not a numbers-matching Hemi car. It’s the best of both: documented R/T authenticity with a drivetrain that will actually deliver on the promise. 1971 was the final year for the Charger R/T. Dodge dropped the model after this one, which makes the ’71 R/T the end of a line that started in 1968.

The trunk is fully carpeted and houses a composite fuel cell, with the battery relocated and running through a disconnect switch.
