2000 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible — ProCharged * Dyno-Proven 501 HP * 6-Speed * 41K Miles

41,192 ORIGINAL MILES * CLEAN CARFAX * ZERO ACCIDENT HISTORY * PROCHARGED * DYNO-PROVEN 501.21 HORSEPOWER * 6-SPEED MANUAL * HEAVILY MODIFIED * $51,074 ORIGINAL MSRP

If you know C5 Corvettes, you already know what you’re looking at. This is not a stock 2000 Corvette with a few bolt-ons. This is a seriously built, low-mileage C5 Convertible with the right foundation–a 5.7L LS1 V8, 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive–that has been transformed into a dyno-proven 501-horsepower ProCharged street monster.

With only 41,192 miles, a clean CARFAX with zero accident history, and a substantial list of performance upgrades, this is one incredibly fun Corvette. It runs and drives great, has been extensively modified, and a serious amount of money has clearly been invested into putting this build together.

PROCHARGED LS1 — DYNO-PROVEN 501.21 HORSEPOWER

At the heart of this Corvette is Chevrolet’s legendary 5.7-liter LS1 V8, one of the engines responsible for establishing the LS platform’s reputation for huge performance potential, durability and aftermarket support. This LS1, however, is a long way from stock.

The centerpiece of the build is a ProCharger centrifugal supercharger system, and we aren’t estimating the horsepower or relying on somebody’s claim about what the car should make. We have the Dynojet sheet to back it up. The car recorded an impressive 501.21 horsepower and 417.15 lb-ft of torque on the Dynojet. A second documented pull recorded 463.50 horsepower and 386.05 lb-ft of torque.

That’s serious power in a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive C5 Corvette. The centrifugal ProCharger is an excellent match for the LS1, delivering progressively harder power as RPM builds and completely changing the personality of an already potent Corvette. This thing is an absolute monster when you put your foot into it.

SUPPORTING PERFORMANCE & COOLING UPGRADES

This wasn’t simply a matter of bolting a supercharger onto the LS1 and calling it finished. Supporting modifications have been added to help manage the additional horsepower and heat produced by the forced-induction setup. The car is equipped with:

  • Four-core aluminum radiator
  • Dual electric cooling fans
  • Remote-activated auxiliary cooling fan

That’s exactly the kind of supporting equipment you want to see on a forced-induction LS build. The exhaust has also been upgraded with a Borla performance exhaust system, allowing the LS1 to breathe while giving this Corvette the deep, aggressive V8 exhaust note that belongs behind a ProCharged engine.

Major performance upgrades include:

  • ProCharger centrifugal supercharger
  • Dyno-proven 501.21 horsepower
  • Dyno-proven 417.15 lb-ft of torque
  • Four-core aluminum radiator
  • Dual electric cooling fans
  • Remote-activated auxiliary cooling fan
  • Borla performance exhaust
  • 6-speed manual transmission
  • Momo shifter

Anyone who has built a forced-induction LS car knows
